141 Days till Poland is no longer a dream

This last week has been dedicated to thinking through things I need for my trip. Many times I don't look at particulars, I just go and hope everything works out. But I know the closer it gets to time, I do need to actually start thinking about things. So here I am trying to work it all out.

Last week my brother Robert and his lovely wife Elisa were intown. It was so great to actually spend some time with them. The last time we all got to be together was so short, so it was so great to be able to have many long conversations and remind me why I love them so much and I am so thankful for them. How many people get to have not just one awesomebig brother but 2! Oh and 2 sitster in laws who actually feel like sisters, because they are that cool!

Anyways, this last year Rob & Elisa travelled around with "The children of the world" choir. It was made up of kids from 3 different third world countries. They would go from church to church all around the U.S. singing, praising God, and raising money for these in need countries.

Soooo they had some advice for me on how to ask for money NICELY :)
This is something I am not so good at. I mean I am not mean andin your face - I am the complete opposite. I just feel so bad asking over and over again for people to give me there precious hard earned cash.

There advice to me was that if I get 105 people to sponsor me for $10 a month for a year, then I will have all my money raised. Which I have to say is not a bad idea. I have already had a few takers (Woo hoo!!!) but still I am in need of that 100 more.http://web.nazarene.org/goto/EmilyAllred

So if you think about it please pray for me on this one. I do not doubt that God will provide the people and the money, but I do pray for the strength to help me get out there and ask more often.
The past two weeks a team from the states came to Poland to work on the construction on the newest coffee shop in Krakow.
I am so excited about this shop. This shop is located just around the corner from where Schindler's workplace was. It is also located close to elementary schools, high schools, and right next door to a college. I can not wait to see what kind of people walk through these doors and find hope within these walls.
I love how much detail they put into everything. So beautiful.
I can not explain to you how much I want to see this place. Live in this place. Serve in this place.
If you want to see more amazing pictures of the already up and running two Sweet Surrender coffee shops you can become a fan of there site on Facebook - just type in Sweet Surrender and there it is!
or you can check out there website: http://sweetsurrender.pl

I soooo understand what you mean about asking for money. I hate doing it and really believe a lot of missionaries or mission trip people are the same way. I am definitely the same way.

That's a great idea about the 105 people sponsoring you for 10 bucks. That's a great idea!

Love ya and I'm praying that all goes well. :)
