Im Alive and Well... Yep the spirit is within me.
Well Hello Friends!
I know it has been forever, and I am sorry it has taken me so long to get back in touch with the living. There has been a work and witness team here from Pennsylvania and I did a lot with them these past two weeks. It was fun to have other Americans to talk to and just to get to know someone and make friendships like normal life back in the states. It just felt good you know. But I took them around lushnje and helped translate the best I could with different things. This team coming was actually a really good thing cause it forced me to use the little albanian I have learned. But if you know me, the only way I learn is to put me on the spot and I have to do it no matter what. Well I had a lot of those times, and because of it I really have seen a lot of improvment. Woo hoo, thank goodness. I mean I still cant communicate really, but a least I am getting a sort of gist of things. Thats good enough for me.
Well this morning was probably the most relaxing saturday morning I have had since I have been here. I slept in, and was slowly awakened by the bright sun that forced itself out from underneath my curtains. I pulled one of the curtains to the side, and the sun shinned down on me with a such a warm golden light. I beathed in peacefully and thanked God for the amazing moment. The last two weeks have been pretty cold, but the past couple days have been pretty nice. The sun has been coming out rather stongly and keeping us nice and warm till it goes down at dusk. I can make it in the cold mornings and night as long as the sun is strong during the day. It helps so much. after just starring out my window at the bright sun for many minutes, I finally stretched and got up. I took my laundery that needed to dry out side on our pattio, and set up a table and chairs so I could enjoy my breakfast out in the sun. My apartment is freezing inside , no matter if the sun is shinning so bright so I like to stay outside as much as possible. I made some french toast, and poured on top of it some amazing syrup! My american friends here kindly gave me some. They just got a big box from the states and they had been given lots of syrup so they were so kind to give me a bottle. It has been o so nice. I then heated up some water for my instant coffee, and started taking things outside for my morning in the sun. I brought out my coffee last, and took a slow sip of it as I walked on to the pattio. I let out a big smile, as the warm liguid went down my throught. It felt so good. It also made me smile, how much I truly enjoyed the taste of it. When I first got here, and realized the only way I was going to get coffee on my own was throught instant. I was saddened. I could not stand the taste of it, it made me sick. So now here I was in awe of what was in my cup. hu, funny how things change. After I ate every bite of toast, and scraped up all the syrup i could off the plate, I opened up my bible. For lent I am trying to read so many chapters of the new teastament every day. Like always I have gotten a little behind, on where I hoped I would be this morning, but I made up for it today. I read through Matthew 7 - 12. After I was done reading I put the bible down on the table and just shook my head. I just cant belive how I can be so amazed and learn so many new things, when I have read those stories hundreds of times. Unbeliveable. I really enjoyed reading through many of christ's miracles from one to another. I usally will just read one at a time, and pondered over each which is really great too. But just - I am sorry I would like to take this moment to interrupt my thoughts and pray for the muslims here in Albania. I say this because at this very moment, on the loud speakers muslim prayers are being read out loud. It makes me sick everytime I hear them, and I know this one is completly in Gods hands. Ok back to what I was saying, But just to read one miracle to the next and see Christ being the savior of all truly amazes me.
Well later today I will got to Barbulinja which I have not been to the last two saturdays. Were hoping to start a kids group there next saturday, so if you think about it keep in your prayers. That also reminds me, I was just asked to do a kids group with the village kids in Gorre where the kindergarten is that I work at. I will be doing it with Juli and Landi who are the pastores there every friday. But I will admit I dont seem to have a passion for it just yet. This was assignment that was just given to me, so its not like I really felt God telling me I needed to do it. But now that I am put in charge of it, I know God want me to do it, I just am having trouble with a want to do it. I am not sure why.
That is all I have for you now friends, I hope you are all doing well. I hope to update more often, life gets tad hectic sometimes. But hey thats a good thing right?

Love you!
It has been forever, since I have been on your site, SORRY! I have been away from Friends & Family, (F&F) for months at a time, so I know what it is like to receive communication from F&F. Even though I am in the good ol' USA, I think and pray for you daily. As I read what you read in the Bible daily, I see God is talking to you through His word. May you be God's Hands and Feet, to everyone you come into contact with everyday. LOVE from Your Uncle, Bill Allred`
