4 months in counting

So it has recently been brought to my attention that my last post was from palm Sunday. Wow I did not realize this. So to all my friends and fam back home I am so sorry that I have not updated in a really long time. If I remember right on my last post I said that I write more often. Well sorry about that. I have many excuses why, but I could have made time to update you all. Again I am sorry.

Like the title says I have 4 months left here. That just seems crazy to me. I have been here for 6 and a half months. Wow. Some days it feels like I have not been here long at all and other days it feels like I have always been here.

Like my previous post life has been just as busy. Non stop life here in Lushnje. A lot has happened since palm sunday and hopefully I will be able to feel you in more detail later. But I am doing well and have seen God do amazing things here. I am still working hard at the kindergarden, and I am very thankful that the last two times I have made rice I have not burned the bottom. Wooo Hooo!!!!!

The english class that I teach to the oldest kids is goig really good. When I first started teaching them I really struggled with them understanding, but we have come a long way. They now can say the alphebet, numbers, colors, days of the week, and the months of the year in english. I am feeling pretty good about that since there was while there I was un sure they would even remeber how to say "Good Morning". I found out these kids learn best by song, so I spent many days making up songs to help them remember. The beat is a little strange, but somehow it has worked!

I am also teaching a english bible study with teen girls. It is just me and 16 girls. A few of the girls know enough english to help translate for the ones who do not know as much. For this I am thankful. But these young girls are so sweet and can not wait to speak in english with me. Sometimes there odd put together phrases are a bit strange and make me laugh, but reminds me of myself with the albanian language. Now I know why everyone always has a big smile on there face after I speak.

The kids club is going well and I am amazed everytime by how many verses these kids can learn. It is unbelievable. They learn paragraphs and pargraphs in the bible and can recite them at any time. AMAZING. Yeah, I cant do that. So even if they do not always understand the full lesson, those words will be with them always.

We have new exciting news with our church in Lushnje. We have found a building to rent for our church. We have been meeting at the top of the pastors home, and for some people this was very hard to get to. So we are so happy to have an acutal building to meet in. It is an older building, with a few problems. But were hoping to restore it nicely and have a welcoming place to worship. I am very excited about this, I think this is something the church desperatly needs. I believe this will be a major step in actually being a "Church" a true community.

Well I hope you are all doing well and hopefully I will keep you updated more. I will soon be able to tell you about all the amazing adventures me and my mom went on!!!!! I still can not believe she will be here in 5 days!!!!

Have a grand on friends!
