Soon and very soon....

This coming sunday will be a month since I have been in Krakow. I love how at the end of my last post I wrote how updates would come soon. I guess in my time, that means a month. Ha, sorry for waiting so long on telling you what has been happening here. I guess I tend to get so wrapped up in things, I forgot theres another world out there (outside of Yonkers...) Anyways, me and my roommate Katie (who is pretty much amazin' by the way) have gotten our apartment all set up, learned exactly how to get to ikea by tram and a couple buses, and we have learned where to find really really good cupcakes.

But on the serious side of things the coffee shop is coming along, and everyday something is happening. Almost all of the plumbing & construction is done, there is just still lots of small things that tend to add up. Today we FINALLY got our really nice espresso machine all hooked up so now we can make the world's best cup of coffee. At least we shall try.

Through connections from our other coffee shop in Poznan we met a girl who leads different Gospel choirs here Krakow. When we first met with her, she told us how she was starting a smaller Gospel group and was in need of place to practice. We excitedly told her that they could use our shop. Even though we are not "Officially" open till March, we want to have as many people as we can come and hangout in the shop.  Since then they have met in our shop twice and each time it has been so beautiful. There voices blend together so nicely, it gives me chills. I love hearing there pure sound echo in our shop.

Me and Katie have also gotten the opportunity to become really good friends with this girl and her roommate. They are so so so sweet, and we are so happy to have such strong christian friends here.

On the ministry side of things:
God is really working in the hearts of these three families that are apart of our church here.  Each of the three husbands are working towards getting there local and district license and hope for being ordained in the Nazarene church someday in the future. How exciting is that?

I went out with the kids this past sunday and just observed while one of the mothers taught from a small children's book they have.  There are about 7 kids, 3 girls around 10 or 11, 2 boys around 7 or 8 and a boy and a girl around 3 or 4. So the ages vary quite a bit, but for not a lot of structure the kids behaved very well.  Today one of the mothers is going to pick me up and I am going to her house for the evening. We hope to talk all about are interest of how we want to work together all that we can do for the kids group at this time. I am very excited, and I pray that this will be a very good meeting.

So things are coming along both on the coffee side and the church side. God is constantly opening different doors and showing us exactly what is need for this time. Like always I am constantly amazed how God works everything out.

Thank you Thank you Thank you for all of you prayers and kind notes of encouragement. Today was the first day since being here where I really felt like I missed my family and friends back home. When this happens it hurts, but I know I will see them again someday and I just remember that there is a reason why I am so far away.

Pa Pa (Goodbye) for now....
