Sunday, Sunday.. la la laaaa la la la... So good to me...

This past Sunday was a huge day at Krakow Church of the Nazarene. We took in 13 members! It was so exciting to be apart of. These 3 families are so on fire and ready to see what God will do.

To me though the best part of the day was after the membership time. Me & another one of the moms took the kids out to the room next door and had Kid's worship. This was the first Sunday that I lead. So I was a little nervous of how the kids would respond. The lesson was "How God is the ultimate Superhero". I asked them to think about there favorite superhero's and what there superpowers were. Then I taught them the always fun Hillsong Kid's song "Jesus is my Superhero." I went on Google translate (Love that site!) and translated the lyrics to polish, and the lady who was translating for me read each sentence after I read the same in English. This way they could understand what the song was about. They LOVED it! They thought the video was hilarious, and really got into the music. 
The rest of the lesson was just as great. We got into some great discussion about really trusting God in EVERYTHING! After the lesson the kids wanted to sing the song again, but this time stand in a different area so they could have more room to dance. Everyone of the kids danced, did the motions and sang a long. I could not believe it, I was amazed how much these kids were just waiting for something like this. That hour and a half that I spent with them really showed me my true reason of being here. Like always when I watch God unfold something so perfect and amazing before me, I just stand in awe of what he can do. I am going to be really cheezy here, but really he is the ultimate Superhero!

Easter in Edinburgh!

I randomly got to take a weekend trip to Edinburgh, Scotland during Easter weekend. Last year around this time I took a trip to Northern Ireland. So I was very happy to go back to the United Kingdom this year but to the other known luscious green, fun accent filled country: Scotland! It quickly transformed just from a weekend fun trip to a needed spiritual renewal for me. My friend Hannah came with me, and we stayed with a Scottish lady who lives just outside of Edinburgh. The lady's name is Rosemary, and I can honestly say I believe she has changed my life.  All my life I have had a series of people that I have met briefly, but have found myself in the most serious/ life changing conversations with. Apple Pie and I open my mouth...

Yay! I made an Apple Pie in Albania! Ha Ha, I know kind of a rare accomplishment, but I was quite happy. I would like to give a big thanks to my father for teaching me how to make an apple pie with out a mixer, getting the recipe for me, and reminding me that they are Celsius people over here not Fahrenheit. Last Saturday I made macaroni & cheese for the family, they were very interested afterwards and wanted me to make more American things. So I realized that they don't really bake here, I mean they bake breads. But not pies, brownies, or cakes. So I said it's Apple Pie time! I have to say I was pretty proud of myself, It was very very yummy. They seemed to like it as well, but I was surprised how the kids were so scarred of it. Who is afraid of tasting Apple Pie? ha ha well these kids are, it was like seeing mu gai pan for the first time.
