"You make beautiful things, You make beautiful things out of us."
This morning as I walked down the street to church, I could feel it.
I felt the small chill in the air, and through the slight fog I could see the once super green trees now have yellow tips spreading all over the place.
Fall is coming friends.
I am not sure exactly when fall became my favorite season, but it seems every new year my appreciation grows for this time of year.
Fall also has such a new beginnings feel to it, a fresh start.
That is why today was a good day. For the first time since summer started, our whole church gathered together. We had a wonderful service, where almost each member of the church did something to help with the service. Me & Erica (The volunteers) led the music, with a mixture of English and Polish songs. Then one of our families did the kid's sermon, and another family did the main sermon. Afterwards we all worked together and had a lovely spaghetti lunch. It was a perfect day.
For the last couple of Sundays during worship I have been playing the song "Beautiful Things" by Gungor. It's been out for a couple of years now, but it is one of my favorite worship songs. None of the church members had ever heard it before. But today after church I noticed something, almost every person I sat next, stood by, or just heard from across the room was humming this song. Because we had lunch we were all hanging around talking for a couple hours, and almost this whole time someone would bring this song up. I thought that was pretty cool. I mean if at all the time these words are stuck in our heads "You make beautiful things, You make beautiful things out of us. You make me new, You are making me new." I say those are some pretty good things to be constantly reminding ourselves.
Well I hope you guys have had or will have a great Sunday! I am praying for you all, and know that God will use you in everything you do!
